hmmm wear sunglasses! hahaha this way they dont KNOW you are drawing them :D

but seriously just observe the people first, don't try to capture their likeness (facial features) right away, just watch them as they pass by (if they are walking) then draw them from memory.

The trick is to not worry about making it look like them, it's better to try to capture their character rather than their exact features.

It's good to remember, however, any outstanding features, big noses, strange body shapes, clothing, and attitude :D

But thank you so much for the observational tips! I feel I have become better at drawing/capturing people down as they walk by or give me angry WTF look at me when they see me drawing them, ^^'

Yeah before I used to get bogged down with details and facial features.
