Warm Up three by LuigiL Warm Up three by LuigiL
I drew the guy on the left first and felt he could be exaggerated a little more so I tried to push him a bit more with the guy on the right.

I think it's important to try your drawing again sometimes.

Anyway this was today's warm up, hope you like it! :D

Haha, I think old seafaring dudes are probably the most fun to draw!

I actually think the guy on the left is great, true, he has subtle traits, but the traits really stand out and make a clear message on their own, I think it suits him well as an officer : )
lol before reading your comment, I thought the guy on his right was his dad

I sort of agree, it's still a fun practice to exaggerate original sketches :D

good one, mate.
I´d go with left one´s head and right one´s body.

Really cool to see these side by side to compare how just that bit of exaggeration completely changes the character. Fantastic!

this is true. i tend to not exaggurate enough when I animate, i'm hoping i can do that better this time, but i think it will be hard knowing where to stop!

mmmh sincerely I don´t like de changes it seems like you only stretched the first image, maybe with some other exagerations or maybe if the rotation of the body is more obvious... sorry, I admire your work, but I can´t lie about what I see.

Important lesson. I prefer the guy on the right's head but for some reason I think his suit & body look better in the left, maybe more powerful.

There is something more "official" about the one on the left. The one on the right looks like a caricature of the one on the left. Not sure which I prefer more. Depends on what he'd be used for I suppose.

Yup, the right one is better. His little facial quirks make him easier to identify (with).

yeah you're right, the one on the right has smoother lines which makes him more real and less solid!
