Hi, I made a drawing as practice using this sketch, because this is the first time I draw and paint digitally, which helped me a lot as practice: D, I leave the link of the drawing here :thumb356459299: .
I think what I like about this the most is the face shapes you used. I've become very unsatisfied with the same, boring head shapes I've been using in my art, so I'm eating up the interesting faces you've created for these ladies.
I like the first girl's face a lot. I like that the bottom of her head is wider than the top, giving her some wide, round cheeks. And I like how the softness of her face is reflected in the soft, rounded shapes of her hair, too. I like her expression -- her eyes looking up, her soft, subtle smile. She looks very sweet, and I like how much of that comes from the shapes you used to draw her.
The next girl is really interesting, too! I LOVE the shapes of her hair -- there's a ton of energy there. I like the wide, squatty shape you built her head and face out of. I think a lot of us would first gravitate that shape to being a kind dopey, character, so I love how you went completely the other way and made a glamourous, beautiful lady out of it. She looks really pretty, and has a fun attitude and look on her face.
I love the next girl's surprised expression! Her eyes are opened wide in surprise, and her lips are quirked in a way that makes it clear she's saying "Oh!" in response. I like the kinda bouncy shape of her skirt and of her hair, and how it contrasts the the straighter, up-and-down pose the rest of her figure is in. Though, her left arm, the one that's bent out, also reinforces that kinda surprised look she has; makes me thinks she's just shot that arm out in surprise.
The last girl is really interesting, too. I like her seemingly wider and curvier hips. And I like how the shape of her face combined with the contour of the hair on the top of her head give her a heart shaped head. The big pigtails add a lot of energy to her design, too.
Great stuff, man! These studies are really inspiring and informative, and awesome to boot!
