For this sketch I thought it would be fun to make up a conversation, but because I really enjoy reading all of your thoughts and comments, I was wondering what do you think a funny conversation would be between this girl character and her bird friend on her head?
If a conversation doesn't sound fun, I'd love to hear what you think their names should be!
Anyway I had fun sketching these two and I hope you like them!
Jenna Mary Avington, great-granddaughter of Dr Doolittle, and the bird Archibald... or "Archi".
Jenna: "According to this book, you're a Cyanocitta cristata.. or a blue jay." Archi: "The book is wrong, or.. you need glasses. I don't look anything like that. Blue-Jays are of the Corvidae family, Corvids or.. crow kind. You -know- my lineage is of better blood then rabble and riff-raff like that. I am a Quaker-parrot, and my grandmother was a cockatoo. Hence the delightful yellow coupe which, I might add, unlike you, I cannot change." Jenna: "I'm just teasing you, Archi." Archi: "That's Archibald, dear. And I find that hardly amusing." Jenna: "Oh lighten up, Archi! You're just grumpy because Pete mocked your crest." Archi: "Well, Yes. Mocking birds. They're all the same." Jenna: "I know.. Though not as bad as sparrows. I prefer pigeons and their poopjokes." Archi: "*Sigh* My luck. I was rescued from that horrible petshop by the only girl that can speak to animals, who's grandmother was the daughter of the great Dr Doolittle, and she falls for the charm of Columbidae-order feces-humour." Jenna: "Columbidae? *Flits pages*.. Columbi-.. oh. Pigeons." Archi: "Yes, dear. Pigeons.*Rolls eyes*"
I love how every one of your characters is appealing in personality as well as in looks. Great coloring, too!
As for names, I'm not good at those, unfortunately, although the girl comes off as having a name beginning with a 'T' to me, for some reason. Telia? Teresa? Hmm.....
I'm so sorry.
My English!
Good job as always~
